Santa Fe de Antioquia and the Western Bridge Day Tour

9 Hours

Overview

Santa Fe de Antioquia was the first capital of the region and remains the best preserved colonial town in Antioquia. Its whitewashed houses, cobbled streets and warm climate make it the perfect contrast to Medellín, only 90 minutes away through the tunnel of the west.

The tour includes a guided walk through the historic centre, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Plaza Mayor, plus a visit to the Puente de Occidente, a 291-metre suspension bridge built in 1895 over the Cauca River and declared a national monument. There is free time for lunch and to try the famous local tamarind sweets.
